Board approves procurement and ethics policies; DAR plot approved
The board approved procurement, purchasing, conflict-of-interest, and electronic disbursement policies effective July 1, 2018, and approved a pollinator-plot proposal from the Daughters of the American Revolution to plant pollinators and a plaque on town property.

Town Clerk Nancy Allen and Deputy Clerk Michelle Massey presented updated procurement plans and policies, including a purchasing policy, conflict-of-interest policy, and electronic disbursement/obligations policies. The board approved the package on motions led by Alderman Billie Jean Haynie and Alderman Dr. Christiaan Ramsey; the policies take effect July 1, 2018.
