Board approves multiple FY26 budget adjustments after preliminary financial presentation
Finance presented preliminary FY26 figures (general-fund revenues ~98.5% of budget; audited beginning fund balance $51.5M; estimated ending approx. $56.3M). The board approved appropriation and amendment motions including $356,000 school category transfer, $86,090 social services revenue, $418,379 interest revenue, and $232,323 for Children's Services Act overages.

Finance Director Miss Mehta presented preliminary FY26 quarterly financials and asked for several appropriations and transfers. She said general fund revenues reached about 98.54% of the budgeted $85,320,000 and that the county's audited beginning fund balance was $51,500,000; after adjustments staff estimated an ending general fund balance of about $56,300,000. Mehta cautioned the figures were preliminary pending auditors' work in October and remaining journal entries.
