Remington asks Jasper County to back petition to have Carpenter Township recognized as Eastern Time

Remington Town Manager John Cripe told the joint session on Nov. 18 that time‑zone signage placed by the U.S. Department of Transportation listing Jasper County as Central Time has caused confusion for residents and businesses in Carpenter Township and Remington, where many operate on Eastern Time.
