The Village of Hinckley board voted Dec. 22 to open a part-time Police Officer/Code Enforcement position to monitor local code violations and handle resident complaints. Trustee Eddie Cullins moved to open the position and the motion carried on a roll-call vote with Trustee Brian Siwicki dissenting.
