Meriwether County confirms $942,044.52 LMIG distribution and approves audit-driven budget amendments
Finance staff reported receipt of $942,044.52 in 2025 LMIG funds and the Board approved several audit-related budget amendments including establishing budgets for Fund 541 (TSPLOST) and Fund 215 (E-911).

Finance Director Tammy Lackey told commissioners the County received the 2025 LMIG distribution of $942,044.52 and expected SPLOST/TSPLOST receipts by week’s end and fourth-quarter tipping and host fees by month-end. Lackey also told the Board that Fund 541 (2020 SPLOST) reflected a negative balance of about $462,000 because no General Fund advances had been made yet.
