On Sept. 22 the commission adopted Resolution R 2026-18 designating October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Commissioner Patty Kubeja introduced the resolution and drew attention to Utah's high domestic violence rates while urging promotion of local resources such as the Dove Center and Reach Services, a new nonprofit based in Kane County.
