Council votes to dissolve underperforming North Clark Community Hospital TIF

The Charlestown Common Council unanimously approved Resolution 2026 R-6 to dissolve the North Clark Community Hospital tax increment financing (TIF) district, describing it as underperforming and producing only nominal revenue. The chair explained staff and redevelopment had coordinated with New Washington State Bank, which holds bonds attached to the TIF, and that the bank agreed to relinquish those interests. "So basically, this this resolution dissolves the North Park Hospital TIF," the chair stated during the presentation.
