Phillips County staff say wind-energy code revision coming as moratorium runs through Sept. 30
County Administrator Andrew Nygaard told commissioners the county's outside counsel is finalizing revisions to the wind-energy section of the Land Use Code; the current wind-energy moratorium remains in effect through Sept. 30, 2025, with Planning Commission and county hearings to follow.

Andrew Nygaard, Phillips County administrator and planner, told the Board of County Commissioners on Aug. 19 that the law firm Sullivan, Green, Seavy, Jarvis, LLC is finishing suggested revisions to the county’s Land Use Code addressing wind energy.
