Hendricks County opens bids for CR 700 S/CR 525 E curve correction; approves bridge inspection contract

At the start of the meeting Hendricks County Engineering closed and opened sealed bids at 9:03 AM for the roadway curve correction project at County Road 700 S. and County Road 525 E. County Engineer John Ayers read five bids: CRM Excavating $501,872.00; E&B Paving $486,464.98 (lowest); Midwest Paving $515,069.69; Milestone Contractors $497,607.00; and Rieth Riley $579,266.89. Ayers said the bids would be reviewed and a recommendation would be presented at a later meeting; no award was made on June 24.
