Following a presentation from Laura Pilafas of The Recovery Bus, the Board voted to proclaim September as National Recovery Month and to present the proclamation at the Georgia Recovers Bus Tour in Eatonton on Sept. 22, 2025.

Laura Pilafas of The Recovery Bus introduced herself and asked the Board to support The Georgia Recovers Bus Tour and to proclaim September as National Recovery Month. Commissioner Richard Garrett moved that the Board proclaim September as National Recovery Month and present the proclamation at The Georgia Recovers Bus Tour in Eatonton on Sept. 22, 2025. Commissioner Tom McElhenney seconded the motion. The minutes record that Commissioners McElhenney, Garrett, Hersey and Wooten voted yea and the motion passed.
