The Colbert County Commission on June 17 approved a consent agenda that included Resolution 2025-0024 requesting the City of Sheffield accept Exception #2 of 2006 IBC Section 505.2 for a jail conversion, and approved a general fund budget amendment to purchase sheriff’s department vehicles.

The Colbert County Commission on June 17 approved a consent agenda that included a resolution asking the City of Sheffield to accept a 2006 International Building Code exception for plans to convert the former TVA Chemistry Laboratory into the Colbert County Jail, and a general fund budget amendment to finance vehicles for the Sheriff’s Department.
