County Engineer Michael Walters told the Coffee County Commission on Aug. 11 that, under the adopted FY26 Rebuild Alabama Plan, Wiregrass Construction is scheduled to begin resurfacing County Road 228 on Wednesday if weather permits. The announcement followed the commission’s adoption of the Rebuild Alabama Plan earlier in the meeting.
