The full story
An internal audit of the initial draft articles against the transcript and the editorial rules found several issues: inconsistent numeric readouts (attendance and short-term rental counts) read aloud by the CVB; an initial draft that risked implying Ashley's formal title though the transcript only used her first name; and minor chronology notes about when items occurred (presentation versus public comment). Each identified issue was corrected in the revised articles: numeric discrepancies are labeled approximate and sourced to the speaker, Ashley is identified generically as "Ashley, representing the Nacogdoches Convention and Visitors Bureau," and the timeline and provenance segments were tightened to the exact transcript blocks.
