The full story

Monroe County staff briefed the Climate Change Task Force on multiple flood‑resilience items during the April 2, 2025 meeting. Roxie Anderson, Land Use Planner, said the county sent 11 monitoring stations for spring service and that stations remain under warranty until May 2025. She reported that the monitoring station at County Road Z on Poe Creek was removed because bridge replacement construction began; staff will consult a nearby landowner about relocating the station upstream. Kickapoo Valley Reserve personnel have been added to receive alert notifications from stations in the Kickapoo River watershed.
