Contractor Stokes Marine to start dune walkover replacements Nov. 1; work timed around turtle nesting
Public works staff said Stokes Marine was the low bidder for the dune walkover replacement project; because of environmental permitting and turtle-nesting restrictions, work will begin under a Nov. 1 notice to proceed and is expected to finish before the 2027 nesting season.

Public works deputy director Scott Krauszlich told the committee that the dune walkover replacement contract was awarded to Stokes Marine, which was also the low bidder on the dune walkover project.
