Hazel Park council approves multiple code updates on first and second reading
Council approved an update to the sign code (to include electronic message boards) and amendments to outdoor storage and social-district rules on first reading, and adopted housekeeping zoning amendments on second reading.

Councilmembers approved several municipal-code amendments at the Oct. 13 meeting. On first reading the council updated Title 15 (buildings and construction, chapter 15.44) to explicitly include electronic message boards in the city's sign regulations and described the change as housekeeping to reflect current technology.
