Committee asks Zoning Administrator to send commitment letters to extend recycling agreements
The committee directed the Zoning Administrator to send commitment letters to municipalities to extend expiring recycling intergovernmental agreements and to align those contracts with GFL’s terms, after Planning & Zoning staff raised the issue.

Planning, Zoning and Solid Waste Administrator Patrick (Pat) Virtues informed the Land & Water Resources Committee on May 6 that several municipal recycling intergovernmental agreements with the county are expiring. Virtues said staff are considering the next agreement term and recommended negotiating with contractor GFL so agreements coincide across municipalities.
