Cheyenne County Sheriff Adam Frerichs addressed the board on April 21, 2025 to present a Memorandum of Understanding for participation in the WING Drug Task Force. He explained that WING applies for grants to fund overtime expenses for the officer assigned to the task force, and that the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for establishing the officer’s salary and benefits and for making required payments; Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office will reimburse Cheyenne County for a percentage of overtime, subject to availability of funds.
