The board authorized up to $48,000 in transferred General Fund money to establish an Employee Wellness Program for the sheriff’s office, including contracted counseling and training from The Wellness Command Post and funds to cover overtime for mandatory training.

The Oconto County Board unanimously approved R2025-04-05 on April 15 to establish an Employee Wellness Program for the Sheriff’s Office and to fund it with transferred General Fund dollars not to exceed $48,000.
