Council approves two additional appropriations for prosecutor task force and sheriff
The Vigo County Council unanimously approved Additional Appropriation 2026-42 for the Prosecutor (seized assets/drug task force) and Additional Appropriation 2026-47 for the Sheriff's gasoline budget; both passed 7-0.

The council approved two budget amendments on a unanimous roll call. Additional Appropriation 2026-42 would allocate seized-assets funds for the Prosecutor’s drug task force; Rob Roberts responded to a question from Council President Steve Ellis by saying the intended uses do not include firearms or expenditures in any business owned by Ellis. The appropriation passed on a 7-0 roll-call vote.
