Council approves CDBG grant documents for wastewater generator
The council unanimously approved a Business and Employment Plan, a Non-Discrimination Policy, and a Grievance Procedure required for a CDBG urgent-need grant to fund a generator at the wastewater treatment plant; Attorney Mike Bedsaul reviewed the documents and "had no comments."

Town Manager Terry Nicholson told the council the New River Valley Regional Commission is nearing completion of environmental studies needed for a CDBG urgent-need grant to pay for a generator at the wastewater treatment plant. Nicholson said the town must approve three documents to accept the grant: a Business and Employment Plan, a Non-Discrimination Policy, and a Grievance Procedure.
