Committee moves courthouse parking lot replacement and jail steps repairs into 2026
The Iowa County Long Range Planning Committee voted March 12 to accelerate the courthouse parking lot replacement and repairs to damaged steps at the old jail from 2027 into the 2026 Capital Improvement Plan. The motion was moved by Supervisor Mike Peterson and seconded by Supervisor Joan Davis and recorded as carried; no vote tally was included in the minutes.

At its March 12, 2025 meeting, the Iowa County Long Range Planning Committee approved a change to the 2026 Capital Improvement Plan to bring forward the courthouse parking lot replacement and the project to replace damaged steps at the old jail from 2027 to 2026. Supervisor Mike Peterson moved the change and Supervisor Joan Davis seconded; the minutes state the motion carried.
