Central Dispatch reports phone-system upgrade progress and February call volumes
Central Dispatch said a phone-project is on track for early August completion, staff are staging a shadow training phase, and the center handled 4,022 phone calls in February including 926 911 calls.

Adam Chiles, Central Dispatch, told the Newaygo County Public Safety/Judicial Committee on March 12 that the department is progressing on a phone-system upgrade expected to be completed by the beginning of August. He also said staffing changes include an employee named Ellie moving into a shadow phase with a colleague named Ashley as part of training.
