The commission met in a called session on Jan. 26 to fix and publish qualifying fees for the 2026 elections as required by state law. Chairman Coffey read the qualifying fees: county commission $362 and county board of education member $72. On a motion by Commissioner Jason Frost, seconded by Commissioner Timothy Biddle, the commission approved the fees unanimously.
