County attorney to investigate sponsor requirements for Rails-for-Trails project
The county attorney said he will investigate whether a 501(c)(3) is required to sponsor the Rails-for-Trails project and will follow up with the River Valley Regional Commission and other stakeholders.

During new business, County Attorney Bin Minter said he had spoken with an attorney involved in similar projects in Albany and that the exchange raised a question whether the Rails-for-Trails project in Cusseta–Chattahoochee County requires a 501(c)(3) charitable entity to be the project sponsor. He said that the question is delaying progress and that he will investigate and follow up with the River Valley Regional Commission and other parties.
