The Monroe City Library Board voted unanimously to approve the 2027–2029 Strategic Plan after Director Shelly Monroe outlined goals and measurable objectives for education, recreation and technology. "Chair Midgley made a motion to approve the proposed 2027-2029 Strategic Plan as written," the minutes record; the motion was seconded by Board Member Cindy Tripp-Kent and carried without dissent.
