County to preposition rescue gear in Ward Pound Ridge Reservation under five‑year IMA with Pound Ridge Fire District
The Department of Emergency Services and Parks presented an intermunicipal arrangement: the county will purchase a shed (~$43,000) and Parks will prepare site and electrical work (~$2,000), in lieu of annual payments, to preposition a UTV and rescue trailer for Pound Ridge Fire District to speed rescues and wildfire response inside Ward Pound Ridge Reservation.

Commissioner Susan Spear of the Department of Emergency Services told the committee she sought authorization to renew a five‑year intermunicipal agreement with the Pound Ridge Fire District to provide fire and rescue services to northern parts of Ward Pound Ridge Reservation that lie outside the district’s tax boundary.
