At its Oct. 15 meeting the Design Review Committee recorded several key votes affecting downtown Solvang storefronts: approval of two hanging signs with material and scale conditions for 1661 Mission Drive (motion recorded as passing 3–0), approval of a striped awning at the same address (5–0), approval of conforming wall and hanging signs for Suite 10 at 444 Alisal Road (5–0), denial of an accessory painted ground arrow sign at 444 Alisal Road (5–0), and approval of a courtyard striped awning (4–0).
