Township staff presented a letter requesting the municipal share for CamTran of $12,155.69 and asked the board to include that amount in the commitment letter or budget. Several supervisors questioned the distribution formula and whether county-level changes might alter the township’s obligation. One supervisor urged caution and proposed a nonbinding letter that affirms support for transit while reserving the township’s ability to determine its funding level later.
