Resident urges district not to build public trails on contested Ripley property; board declines discussion while purchase pending

During the budget hearing portion of the Aug. 16 meeting, resident Ron Buss of Ripley Waters asked about a possible land purchase and expressed concern about future public trails. Buss said he "hoped there would not be trails for the public in his back yard," and that he would prefer Ripley Waters maintain that property. Chair Jimmy DeGidio responded that the board could not discuss the matter because the purchase was still pending.
