Mauston council approves shared Communications Coordinator position

The Mauston Common Council voted to create a new Communications Coordinator position that will be shared between the City of Mauston and the Greater Mauston Tourism Association (GMTA). The motion, made by Alderperson Leanna Hagen and seconded by Jim Allaby, carried by unanimous roll call vote and specifies the position’s responsibilities as tourism promotion, public information, community outreach and communications strategy. The position is to be filled by Jan. 1, 2027.
