Trustee urges separate work session on code enforcement; draft includes $6,000 line
Ramon Reid asked the board to flag the code-enforcement line for a separate work session to decide whether to hire or otherwise fund enforcement; staff said prior research suggests the draft should offer a more competitive rate if the town hires an officer.

At the budget review Ramon Reid recommended trustees schedule a dedicated work session to discuss enforcement rather than adjust the current draft: "I would suggest ... that this be flagged for a work session for the board to discuss enforcement," he said. He noted there has been little enforcement expense to date and that the town should clarify how enforcement would be implemented before committing funds.
