City officials presented a budget presentation amendment intended to make the city’s financial reporting clearer and more transparent. Mayor Penque added John Chamberlin of Chamberlin and Owen to the agenda to review the recently adopted budget; City Attorney Brandon Voelker said the review was "essentially a different way of 'showing our work.'" Chamberlin said the amendment would provide a cleaner presentation of city funds and reflect that the city has resources available to work with.
