Chairman Johnny Owens and two fellow commissioners voted unanimously March 23 to extend the Comanche County burn ban after Vice‑Chairman Ryan John moved to continue a resolution "proclaiming an extreme fire danger exists in Comanche County." The motion passed with John, Kenny Kinder and Owens voting aye.
