The council authorized several purchases and a one-year service contract on Feb. 13, approving acquisition of a 500-gallon heavy-duty street vacuum from Ditch Witch and a 9.5-horsepower water pump for the water and sewer department. Councilmember Jeff Theisen moved both purchases; Jeremy Stover seconded each motion and the minutes record the votes as unanimous.
