Gresham-Barlow board elects new chair and vice-chair after contested votes; re-vote planned
After a series of 3–2 recorded votes, the Gresham-Barlow School District board elected Holly Riegelmann as chair and Shawn Farrens as vice-chair on July 1, 2026; the district later said the votes should not have carried and scheduled a July 14 re-vote to correct the procedural error.

Holly Riegelmann was recorded as elected board chair for 2026–27 by a 3–2 vote at the Gresham-Barlow School District Board meeting on July 1, 2026. Shawn Farrens was later recorded as elected vice-chair by the same margin; both votes followed earlier failed nominations for the positions.
