Plains library meets $5,000 fundraiser goal; programming and AED training highlighted
Library staff reported meeting a $5,000 fundraising goal for operating needs, high program attendance including 33 at story time, a junior chess tournament on March 21 and an AED donation with CPR training; staff attended active-shooter and field medical training.

Library representative Nikki told the council that the fundraiser to "help kind of keep the lights on" has already met its $5,000 goal with two weeks left in the campaign. "The people of Paradise and Planes have been very kind to us, and we've actually already met our $5,000 goal," Nikki said.
