Kersey adopts 2024 International Building Codes by reference

The Kersey Board of Trustees voted 4-0 on Sept. 9 to adopt Ordinance 2025-0010, bringing the town's municipal code into alignment with the International Code Council's 2024 editions for building, residential, plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas, existing building, property maintenance, swimming pool and spa, and energy conservation standards. Town Manager Stacy Brown told the Board there had been "no changes to the building code from the last time we met," and she said staff updated municipal code language to remove an allowance for a two-hour firewall in place of an automatic fire sprinkler system.
