Public works staff explained that during pavement removal contractors discovered additional curb, gutter and sidewalk damage in the project area. Staff recommended a change order to remove and replace the entire curb/gutter/sidewalk section to avoid patching incompatible new pavement to degraded sidewalks and to finish the job correctly.
