Berry Engineers presented a rezoning application to move a parcel on Spring Place Road from the FAR district to C-2 general commercial to accommodate a proposed Dollar General store. The engineer, identified in the transcript as Mr. Berry, said the site plan places most of the lot inside the 2012 future land use maps mixed commercial corridor and that a soil perk test was successful. "The rezoning is for a Dollar General," Mr. Berry said, adding the only reason for rezoning is that the proposed building exceeds the FAR definitions 2,500-square-foot neighborhood convenience limit.
