County authorizes Microsoft Teams calling and Marco Technologies contract

IT Director Vicky Townsend told the Stevens County Board that the county's current phone system, hosted by the State of Minnesota, will be phased out and unsupported on July 1, 2026, and recommended moving calling to Microsoft Teams to consolidate voice, video and collaboration. The board unanimously approved the Marco Technologies quote to provide Teams calling licensing, support and hardware.
