Board approves PIVUS student handbook; staff explained differences from regular handbook

Staff explained that the PIVUS (Pleasant Valley) student handbook is separate from the district's regular handbook because PIVUS serves students in an alternative setting and has distinct disciplinary procedures and expectations. "This handbook is specific to Pleasant Valley ... on page 2, it notifies the students at Pleasant Valley that they are subject to our regular handbook and the provisions that aren't specific to Pleasant Valley," a staff member said.
