Forest service: BAER team deployed; rapid assessments due in about a week
Acting staff officer Micah Keesow said a Burn Area Emergency Response (BAER) team arrived to start rapid assessments and that initial BAER recommendations typically take 7–10 days; staff also outlined next steps for salvage, infrastructure protection and longer-term recovery.
