Residents press supervisors on permits, selective enforcement and missing invoices

Multiple residents raised concerns during public comment about permit issuance, alleged selective enforcement, lack of invoice availability and requests for improved pre-meeting procedures; several called for a standard process for supervisors to review invoices before votes.

The full story

During an extended public-comment period residents and supervisors debated whether permits had been correctly issued in prior years and whether the township had been selective in enforcement. One resident said she had been told by township staff that a permit she received was all that was required when the office lacked an engineer in place, while others argued the administration had been inconsistent across years. Several residents and one supervisor urged a simple administrative fix: provide invoices and supporting documents with meeting packets or make them available an hour before the meeting so supervisors can review them.
