Veterans Affairs staff briefed commissioners on Aug. 17 regarding property tax credits and local VA Community Care. Staff clarified that the disabled-veteran property tax credit for those rated 100% applies to the homestead plus one acre. Officials also said veterans can now access VA Community Care locally rather than traveling to distant facilities.
