GURA tables Little Ricky's AC grant request; approves Launch speaker installation

The Golden Urban Renewal Authority reviewed two small-business grant applications. Staff presented Little Ricky's request to cover half of an AC compressor replacement; staff reported two bids (about $3,865 and $5,865) and said the applicant asked for 50% of the higher bid. "She's asking for $22,932, which is 50% of the total cost of the AC repair," staff said during the presentation, and board members asked staff to verify lease term, contractor bids and why the higher bid was chosen. The board tabled the Little Ricky's request to allow staff to collect additional documentation.
