Commissioners approve Emergency Watershed change order, request NRCS contract extension
Sullivan County approved a change order for Emergency Watershed Improvement Projects SU-25-001 and requested a contract close-out extension with the Natural Resources Conservation Service to Jan. 14, 2027 to allow additional remediation time for project SU-25-004.

Because of time sensitivity, the board approved a second change order for Emergency Watershed Improvement Project SU-25-001 (contractor Mitchell Knorr Contracting) to replace non-grouted riprap with 35 feet of stacked rock wall, add 17 feet of grouted R8 riprap, and install a 42-foot guiderail. The board recorded the approval as an urgent modification.
