District replaces multiple turf fields and adds new shock-absorbing underlayer
Staff reported three additional synthetic turf fields replaced this year and introduced a new rubber underlayer intended to reduce impact force and extend the life of turf systems so they can be resurfaced multiple times without redoing the base.

The committee heard that the district replaced multiple synthetic turf fields and tracks at the high schools and at Rosemont Ridge and Wilsonville junior-varsity fields, with several projects finishing ahead of schedule. Staff said the projects addressed end-of-life surfaces and were chosen partly because they could be designed and constructed with short lead times.
