Guardian program requests $5,000 from fee fund to cover travel and training

Lauren Ryneerson, who introduced herself as director responsible for the guardianship program, told the Johnson County Council the state VASIA grant for travel and training for 2026 was $4,690 and that after registrations and hotel she expected $1,907.83 would remain. She asked the council to authorize a $5,000 transfer from the guardianship fee fund to cover airfare, mileage and other training costs beyond the grant.
