RPC launches strategic planning process with consultant Strategy Matters
The commission hired Strategy Matters (Boston) after an RFP with 34 proposals; a steering committee of executive finance members and staff will draft mission, vision and values and return options to the full board, with a steering retreat and broader engagement to follow.

The commission announced it has budgeted and launched a strategic planning initiative, selected a consultant and established a steering committee to guide early drafting. Staff said the RPC received 34 proposals in a competitive RFP process and contracted with Strategy Matters of Boston to lead the work. "We are contracted with Strategy Matters out of Boston," the executive director told commissioners.
